CLASSICAL PILATE'S MAT CLASSES
A must-do for all professional dancers and athletes as well as everyday people. Pilates is a series of challenging and invigorating exercises which, once learned properly, can be practiced at will independently. The carefully constructed movements are designed to help the student find her center, develop a strong inner core of deep abdominal and back muscles while sculpting the entire body, lengthening and strengthening the musculature, and correcting imbalances while enhancing posture, stimulating circulation and mental awareness.
Pilates will create a longer, leaner and stronger musculature while promoting structural health and is both theraputic as well as preventative. Pilates is an excellent exercise regiment for everybody, and particularly good for athletes and dancers. Physical Therapists and other medical professionals recognize the benefits of Pilates and refer clients for Pilates conditioning for its theraputic effects. Pilates is the preferred treatment of choice for maintaining spinal and musculare health and addresses many common maladies from stress to bad backs and other soft tissue issues.
BalancePoint Pilates is based on the traditional 34 exercises, methodology and philosophy, designed by Joseph Pilates. Please bring an exercise or flat yoga mat, and wear comfortable or gym clothing. No experience required - All classes are suitable for beginners and elitists alike.
